Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 pre-made 9-inch pie crust or homemade if preferred

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pie crust, spreading evenly.
  • Bake for 30–35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Let the pie cool completely before slicing to allow it to set.

Notes

For extra decadence, serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce. You can also add nuts or swap chocolate chips for chunks of your favorite chocolate bar.
