Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend dry ingredients into butter mixture until combined.
  • Fold in chopped pecans evenly throughout the dough.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are golden brown and centers are soft.
  • Cool cookies on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use toasted pecans to enhance the nutty flavor in your cookies. For thicker, chewier cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for longer storage.
