Ingredients
  

Crust

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Filling

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour for filling
  • 2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • In a bowl, mix melted butter, flour, powdered sugar, and salt until crumbly. Press evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
  • Bake crust for 15 minutes, or until lightly golden. Let it cool slightly.
  • In another bowl, whisk eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, vanilla, and 2 tablespoons flour until smooth.
  • Stir in the chopped pecans until well coated.
  • Pour the pecan mixture evenly over the warm crust and spread it out.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the filling is set and golden brown.
  • Allow to cool completely before slicing into squares or bars for clean, perfect edges.

Notes

For a twist, drizzle with melted chocolate or top with a sprinkle of flaky sea salt once cooled. Store bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for longer freshness.
