Ingredients
  

For the base and filling

  • 1 dough dough for a single-crust pie Store-bought pie crust can be used if short on time.
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3-4 cups sliced apples Use a mix of sweet and tart apples for best flavor.

For the topping

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted Can substitute with vegan butter or coconut oil.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Roll out your pie dough and place it in a pizza pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples with sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Stir until coated.
  • Spread the apple mixture evenly over the dough.
  • In another bowl, mix oats, brown sugar, and melted butter, then sprinkle it over the apples.

Baking

  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
  • Let it cool slightly before slicing.

Notes

Serve warm, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream or drizzled with caramel sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container; refrigerate and reheat gently in the oven.
