  • 1 box snickerdoodle cake mix
  • 2 cans apple pie filling 21 oz each
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup pecans chopped, optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Spread the apple pie filling evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the cake mix evenly over the apples, making sure to cover them completely.
  • Drizzle the melted butter across the cake mix, ensuring as much coverage as possible.
  • Sprinkle ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and pecans (if using) on top.
  • Bake in the oven for 40–45 minutes, until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  • Let cool slightly, then serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a drizzle of caramel sauce over each serving. This dessert tastes best served warm!
