Preparing the Dough

  • Combine 2 cups of Bisquick mix with 2/3 cup of milk in a bowl.
  • Stir until a soft dough forms—avoid overmixing.

Shaping and Portioning the Dumplings

  • Use a tablespoon to scoop the dough for even sizes.
  • Drop each scoop gently onto the surface of the soup or stew.

Cooking Bisquick Dumplings

  • Stove-Top Method: Cover the pot and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes, then cook uncovered for another 10 minutes.
  • Baking Option: Bake the dumplings on a greased tray at 375°F for 15-20 minutes.

Notes

Use cold milk to prevent overmixing. Avoid lifting the lid too often during cooking.
