Ingredients

Crust

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted

Filling

  • 16 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your oven to 325°F (160°C) and greasing a baking dish—this will ensure your delicious squares come out easily.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter with 1/4 cup of granulated sugar. Stir until everything is well blended and has a nice, smooth texture.
  • Press this buttery mixture firmly into the bottom of your prepared baking dish. This will be the base for your luscious cheesecake.
  • In a separate bowl, take your softened cream cheese and mix it with 1/2 cup of granulated sugar. Beat this together until it’s irresistibly smooth and creamy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time into the cream cheese mixture, mixing well after each addition to keep it light and airy.
  • Pour the creamy filling over the crust and spread it evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30–35 minutes, or until the center is set and slightly firm to the touch.
  • Let the cheesecake cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set completely.
  • Once chilled, cut into squares and serve. Enjoy!

Notes

You can drizzle caramel sauce on top for extra sweetness. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
