Ingredients
  

For the frying

  • 1 quart vegetable oil for frying

For the batter

  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • cups Bisquick pancake and waffle mix

  • 1 package “Double Stuf” Oreos
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large Dutch oven, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the beaten egg, vanilla extract, and milk until combined.
  • Add the Bisquick mix and stir until there are no lumps.

Frying

  • Using a large spoon, dip an Oreo into the batter until fully coated.
  • Carefully scoop up the batter-covered Oreo and slowly lower it into the hot oil.
  • Fry the Oreo for about 30 to 60 seconds, until golden brown.
  • Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried Oreos and place them on a paper-lined plate.

Serving

  • Dust them generously with powdered sugar and serve immediately.

Notes

These deep-fried delights are best enjoyed fresh. You can add a scoop of vanilla ice cream or drizzle with chocolate syrup for extra flavor.
