Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 12 ounces Dr. Pepper (cold) Make sure it's cold for best results
  • 2 cups cold heavy cream Chill before use

Instructions

Preparation

  • Place a loaf pan (10x5x3), mixing bowl, and whisk in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
  • In a medium bowl, add the sweetened condensed milk and slowly stir in the cold Dr. Pepper to maintain bubbles.
  • Remove the mixing bowl from the freezer and add the heavy cream. Beat on medium-high speed for about one minute until slightly frothy, then increase to high and mix for 1.5 to 2 minutes until stiff peaks form.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the Dr Pepper mixture, one cup at a time, using a silicone spatula.
  • Pour the mixture into the chilled loaf pan, smooth the top, cover tightly with aluminum foil, and freeze for about 6 hours until firm.
  • Scoop the ice cream into bowls or cones when ready to serve.

Notes

For serving, drizzle chocolate syrup on top or sprinkle with crushed nuts. Store leftovers tightly covered in the freezer for about a week. Optional flavor variations include adding vanilla extract, chocolate chips, or fruit.
