Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until fluffy.
  • Blend in the ground Earl Grey tea and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually fold in the flour until a cohesive dough forms.
  • If using, fold in any optional add-ins like lavender, lemon zest, or white chocolate chips.
  • Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Baking

  • Roll the chilled dough into balls and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Flatten each ball slightly, and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges turn golden.
  • Allow to cool on the baking tray for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes
