Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts Trimmed and halved.
  • 4 slices Bacon Cooked until crispy.
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp Mustard Dijon mustard recommended.
  • 1 tsp Salt To taste.
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper To taste.
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil For tossing the Brussels sprouts.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Trim and halve the Brussels sprouts.
  • In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Roasting

  • Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer and roast for about 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy.

Sauce Preparation

  • While the Brussels sprouts are roasting, cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy.
  • Remove cooked bacon and drain on a paper towel.
  • In the same skillet, add heavy cream and mustard. Stir until well combined.
  • Crumble or chop the cooked bacon and add it back to the skillet. Stir to combine.

Serving

  • Once the Brussels sprouts are out of the oven, drizzle them with the creamy mustard sauce and serve immediately.

Notes

For a tasty twist, add grated Parmesan cheese before serving. You can also experiment with different types of mustard or add chopped nuts for extra crunch.
