Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Boil the sweet potatoes until tender, then peel and mash until smooth.
In a large mixing bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, granulated sugar, brown sugar, milk, and melted butter. Mix well.
Add eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir until smooth and fully combined.
Pour the sweet potato mixture into the unbaked pie crust and spread evenly.
Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the pie is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or chilled, with whipped cream if desired.
Notes
For a creamier texture, blend the filling before baking. You can also top with toasted pecans or a dusting of powdered sugar for extra flair.
