Ingredients
  

Filling

  • 2 cups mashed sweet potatoes about 2 large sweet potatoes
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Crust

  • 1 unbaked pie crust store-bought or homemade

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Boil the sweet potatoes until tender, then peel and mash until smooth.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, granulated sugar, brown sugar, milk, and melted butter. Mix well.
  • Add eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir until smooth and fully combined.
  • Pour the sweet potato mixture into the unbaked pie crust and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the pie is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or chilled, with whipped cream if desired.

Notes

For a creamier texture, blend the filling before baking. You can also top with toasted pecans or a dusting of powdered sugar for extra flair.
