  • 1 cup Carrots Optional, diced.
  • 1 cup Celery Optional, diced.
  • 2 tbsp Butter For sautéing.
  • 1/4 cup Flour For thickening.

  • 1 cup Shredded cheese Cheddar for extra creaminess.
  • 1/2 cup Bacon bits Add a smoky flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Peel and dice the potatoes into evenly sized cubes.
  • Finely chop the onions and mince the garlic.
  • Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat. Drain any excess grease.

Cooking

  • Melt butter in the same pot. Add onions and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  • Sprinkle in flour, stirring constantly to form a roux. Gradually whisk in the broth.
  • Add the diced potatoes, carrots, and celery. Cover and simmer until potatoes are fork-tender.
  • Return the browned ground beef to the pot. Stir in cream, blending well.

Notes

Adjust consistency by adding more broth if too thick. For added creaminess, mash some potatoes in the pot.
