No Bake Frozen Chocolate Pie

Ingredients
  

For the crust

  • 1.5 cups chocolate cookie crumbs Use finely crushed chocolate cookies.
  • 1/3 cup sugar Adjust according to sweetness preference.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Melted for easy mixing.

For the filling

  • 2 cups heavy cream Whipped until stiff peaks form.
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Can substitute with dark chocolate for richer flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances flavor.
  • 1 cup whipped cream (for topping) Can use store-bought.
  • Chocolate shavings (for garnish) Optional for decoration.

Preparation

  • Combine chocolate cookie crumbs, sugar, and melted butter in a mixing bowl. Mix until combined.
  • Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of the pie pan to form the crust.
  • Refrigerate the crust for at least 30 minutes to set.

Filling

  • Melt the chocolate chips in a saucepan over low heat until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  • Gently fold in the cooled melted chocolate, being careful not to deflate the whipped cream.
  • Pour the chocolate mixture into the chilled crust and smooth out the top.
  • Freeze the pie for at least 4 hours, or until firm.

Serving

  • Top the pie with whipped cream and chocolate shavings before serving.
  • Slice and serve straight from the freezer.

Notes

Store any leftovers in the freezer for up to a week, covered with plastic wrap or in an airtight container. Let sit at room temperature for a few minutes before slicing for easier cutting.
