  • 1 cup whole milk Can substitute with coconut milk for a dairy-free version.
  • 1 cup ripe mango puree Fresh or frozen mango works well.
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar Adjust sweetness based on mango ripeness.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Optional for additional flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Enhances the sweetness.

Optional Add-Ins

  • 1/2 cup toasted coconut For a tropical twist.
  • 1/2 cup diced fresh mango For texture and extra fruitiness.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, whole milk, mango puree, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
  • Mix until well combined and the sugar is fully dissolved.

Churning

  • Transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • During the last few minutes of churning, add optional toasted coconut and diced mango, if using.

Freezing

  • Once finished churning, transfer the ice cream to a lidded container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until set.

Notes

For best flavor, allow the ice cream to sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping. This ice cream pairs well with tropical fruits or as a filling for ice cream sandwiches.
